Daisuke wild

TOKYO -- After Daisuke Matsuzaka gave up that homer to Mark Ellis, he has been having a bit of trouble. Matsuzaka walked the next batter, Daric Barton, then hit Jack Cust on the ankle on a 2-2 pitch.

He threw a wild pitch that moved both batters up a base, leaving men on second and third for Emil Brown, who also walked.

That leaves the bases loaded with Bobby Crosby up -- and one out.

  1. I just came back from the gym and they have Direct TV. Same thing, no ESPN2 and no NESN

  1. DirecTV & MLB pee on subscribers and fans. DTV cut deal w/ MLB 4 days ago to offer Extra Innings pkg as extra... but no subscribers contacted, at least not us! How many boston-folk stayed/delayed work this morning to watch blank screen? How many NEW-DTV subscribers bought in to watch blank screen? DTV signal-lost from 2ish am ET on all movie stations and many Free stations. Itz criminal! MLB no longer field of dreams... more like field of green! We're in the dark here, we're in the dark... Scent of A Game, "It Stinks!"

  1. We have DirecTV and the NESN feed was fine on our big tv in the living room, but "serching for signal" in all 3 bedrooms?!?

Also, glad i checked the NESN lineup for the day and dvr'd the game for later. Their rebroadcast is at 2 or 2:30 this afternoon...duh, most people are still at work! F'n Bruins on tonight ;(

Our local Red Sox radio in CT didn't broadcast it either...listened to static-ey WEEI Springfield & RI on the way to work and had to get the last few innings through ESPN Gamecast on line.

    anyway...HAPPY OPENING DAY!!!
