Gone!

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff March 26, 2008 07:12 AM

For the second time in as many games, a Red Sox starter is struggling early. Like Daisuke Matsuzaka yesterday, Jon Lester just gave up an early home run. Except his was a three-run shot.

Emil Brown just took Lester deep on a 1-0 pitch, scoring Mark Ellis (walk) and Mike Sweeney (single) ahead of him.

That brings the score to 4-0, A's.

And the Sox still don't have a hit yet off Rich Harden.
