FORT MYERS, Fla. David Aardsma is starting today's game against the Jays.

Daisuke Matsuzaka is throwing a minor league game instead of the major league game due to the uncertainty of whether there was going to be a game. Umpires are currrenty convening at home plate to go over the ground rules. The Sox are getting ready to take the field.

No word on whether the game time will be shortened so they can accommodate their travel schedule to Japan.

  1. That was a stupid thing sending Matsuzaka over to the minor leagues to pitch today. I was looking forwarding to seeing how he was going to do today and now I won't know. I don't care whether or not they go to Japan or not. The Red Sox have lost me as a fan.

  1. What's wrong with you Priscilla? You're no longer their fan because you didn't get to watch Dice-K pitch a spring training game?

This boycott just shows how awesome these guys are and how they stick together with the whole organization. The organization extends far beyond the 25 guys on the roster and today I'm damn proud of what they did. By refusing to play the game until this issue was resolved, it shows that they won't throw anyone under the bus and let MLB screw them over. If anyone has lost you as a fan, it should be MLB, for trying to pull a screwjob on the Red Sox and A's. Shame on you, Selig. Rot in hell.

  1. I am happy they did it for the coaches. They should have stuck together. That is not what I am upset about? What is wrong with seeing your favorite player pitch a game.
