Beckett update

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff March 11, 2008 12:39 PM

I have to apologize for my tardiness in blogging the lineups. It's been a busy morning, with an appearance by Mike Greenwell. Greenwell walked into the clubhouse and had to go by a security guard. The exchange:

Security guard: "Umm. Can I help you?"

MG, flatly: "I'm Mike Greenwell."

A media relations staff ran over to rescue him and bring him into the interview room. We'll have some interesting comments from him later.

Josh Beckett (lower back) reported that he was "Better today than I was yesterday. I got a good night's sleep." He certainly seemed in better spirits.

With that...the lineups for today...

  1. Keep Greenwell away from Ellsbury!!! We don't need another injured center fielder.

  1. When are you going to post MG's interview? He is my all-time fav Sox, and I love when his name pops up in the news every few months (mostly due to Truck Racing and Jose Canseco, but I will still take it!)

  1. Please get better, Josh. I don't want to carry the guilt of cursing you by picking you #1 overall in my fantasy league! :(
