The Red Sox reduced their major league roster by 10 players this morning. That leaves the roster at 46 today.

Pitchers Edgar Martinez and David Pauley were optioned to Triple A Pawtucket.

Pitcher Kyle Jackson and infielder Argenis Diaz were optioned to Double A Portland.

Non-roster invitees Michael Bowden, Hunter Jones, Justin Masterson, Jeff Bailey, Tony Granadillo, and Gil Velasquez were reassigned to minor league camp.
