Sox struggles

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla — The Sox could be in for bi-coastal, bookend beatings. They are currently trailing the Orioles, 9-2, in the seventh, and for the second time Brad Mills has been forced to lift a veteran pitcher in mid-inning. Julian Tavarez couldn’t get out of the third and Kyle Snyder was just pulled with two out in the sixth. Tavarez and Snyder, two pitchers fighting for the fifth spot in the roatation, gave up nine hits and nine runs. Dan Kolb is now pitching

The Sox have eight hits and scored on a sac fly by Mike Lowell and a single by Brandon Moss. Jacoby Ellsbury started in center and was lifted after going 0-3.
