5-3 final

Posted by Julian Benbow, Globe Staff April 19, 2008 10:04 PM

It's a home run in a couple ballparks. It's the final out here at Fenway. Jonathan Papelbon got pinch hitting Milton Bradley to fly out to deep center, clinching the Sox third straight win and ending Bradley's 13 game hit streak.

It's Papelbon's sixth save. Javier Lopez gets the win in only a third inning of work. Jon Lester's the unlucky owner of a no decision, despite 6.1 solid innings (the 10 hits tied the most he'd given up all season.

Manny Ramirez's eighth inning home run was number 496 for his career. He's chasing down Eddie Murry (504) on the all-time list.

The Sox are 12-7. The Rangers are 7-11.

Time of game is 2 hours 26 minutes. Enjoyed every second.

Thanks for having me.
