A double!

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff April 30, 2008 08:36 PM

Of course, it wasn't on the Red Sox side.

Scott Rolen duplicated last night's ninth-inning double with a wall double in the sixth inning. The hit, the third of the game, the first for extra bases, came with two outs in the inning.

Daisuke Matsuzaka, meanwhile, started the sixth inning well under 100 pitches, which is somewhat unusual for him. He finished the inning having thrown 102 pitches, his last a changeup that struck out Matt Stairs swinging.

Manny Delcarmen is warming in the bullpen.
