Angels take series

Despite a one-out single from Jacoby Ellsbury and a two-out two-run homer from David Ortiz in the ninth inning, the Red Sox fell to the Angels this afternoon, 7-5.

Even though Justin Masterson was, well, masterful in his major league debut, the Sox bullpen faltered. They gave up four runs in the seventh inning, with Manny Delcarmen (just coming off the illness that has been sweeping the clubhouse) taking the loss.

Now it's off to Tampa...
