As we predicted.....

You think new Texas president Nolan Ryan likes what he sees?

As we predicted earlier, when ever you get into the Ranger bullpen you've got a chance. The Sox have now taken a 6-5 lead into the ninth with four runs in the eighth. All came with two outs.

Jed Lowrie is growing on you isn't he? He bopped his second double in as many innings, this one scoring Jacoby Ellsbury who singled. David Ortiz then beat out a hustle infield hit against the shift, really motoring down the first base line to beat the throw, scoring Lowrie. Dustin Pedroia, batting for Joe Thurston, stroked a double deep to right-center scoring Ortiz all the way from first base. On the play center-fielder Josh Hamilton made a wild throw back to the infield and Pedroia streaked toward third just avoiding a tag and was safe at third base.

Kevin Youkilis and J.D. Drew walked (Youk's was intentional) to load the bases against C.J. Wilson, after Wes Littleton three-hit, two-run performance over 1-2/3 innings, Sean Casey battled the hard-throwing Wilson to a 3-2 count before walking him to score Pedroia with the go-ahead run. Jamey Wright finally came on to retire Kevin Cash and end the festivities.

Jonathan Papelbon is on.
