Close ... ish

We're about 2 hours and 30 minutes into this game (long enough to play a National League contest) and it's actually still in question. Even though the Red Sox battered Phil Hughes, Daisuke Matsuzaka hasn't fared all that much better.

Through four innings he's already thrown 90-plus pitches, which means the bullpen will come into play shortly. And it's a short bullpen, with Jonathan Papelbon definitely unavailable and Hideki Okajima almost certainly unavailable as well.

That might mean that Manny Delcarmen could be up for a save -- if there's a chance, that is.
