TORONTO - Good morning from Toronto.

Terry Francona has confirmed that Kyle Snyder was designated for assignment and now goes through the waiver process over the next 72 hours. It appears Snyder could get claimed off waivers. Don't be surprised if Snyder received interest from a few teams. Baltimore is one to keep in mind.

Francona said he's looking forward to Opening Day at Fenway. The Sox will receive their 2007 championship rings. One Detroit Tigers' official said this week, "Given the way we've started the season (0-5), that will be good for us to see." Francona said of the road trip which started when the team left Fort Myers on March 19, "it's the longest road trip I've ever been on. I'm not a clothes horse, but I ran out a long time ago." Francona said one of the biggest lessons learned is "the ability to handle frustration." Francona said every team faces it and it's the teams which handle it well that emerge better for it.

Francona said Opening Day is "special anyway. Then you add the ring ceremony and half of us will be wearing clean underwear. How do you beat rings and a clean underwear?"
