Injury update
There are just so many...
Jacoby Ellsbury said he tweaked his groin on the Evan Longoria home run over the weekend, so clearly that shot hurt the Red Sox in more than one way. Ellsbury said he felt much better today, so he's hoping this won't keep him out too long.
J.D. Drew got treatment today, but they're not sure what the timetable is. It's not worse, but still not good enough for him to be in the lineup today.
As for Dustin Pedroia, Terry Francona said the shoulder issue isn't something he's worried about long-term, even though Pedroia said it tends to happen to him.
"I think when he dives it hurts," Francona said. "You could see him come off the field. You know it was sore. But then he woke up today, he was fine. He was lifting. I don't know that players can give you the exact determination of what happens. I think they just know how it feels.
"My instincts say no [that it might become a bigger problem at some point]. I mean, even after he did it, after he gathered himself, you saw the first swing he took. He wanted to hit it 800 miles."

Nothing worse than a tweaked groin
I wish Pedroia would sit tonight. We don't want this to come back to haunt us...
Pedroia's always going to play all out and he'll dive like that and probably get hurt again. Good to have Lowrie around for insurance.
Accupuncture cured my personal groin tweak and I heartily recommend it...it wouldn't hurt !!
The shoulder popping out is no big deal. I had the same problem with mine it would pop out if i moved it the wrong way, but it just pops back in and you are good to go. Eventually I had to surgery to correct it but thats something he can do in the off season, it's a minor inconveinence when it occurs but once its back in your fine. I wouldn't worry
we need healthy sox
