Jays on Tuesday
The Red Sox (15-12) just got swept in Tampa Bay, and next host the only other team to have swept them this season -- the Toronto Blue Jays (11-15).
The pitching matchups for the three-game set, which kicks off at Fenway Park tomorrow night:
Tuesday: Jon Lester (1-2, 5.40 ERA) vs. Roy Halladay (2-3, 3.73 ERA)
Wednesday: Daisuke Matsuzaka (4-0, 3.14 ERA) vs. Dustin McGowan (1-2, 4.18 ERA)
Thursday: Tim Wakefield (2-0, 4.16 ERA) vs. A.J. Burnett (2-2, 6.07 ERA)
Halladay has lost his last two decisions to the Rays and Rangers, respectively.
Some notable Sox numbers vs. Halladay:
- Jacoby Ellsbury is 4 for 6 with 2 home runs
- J.D. Drew is 7 for 16 (.438) with a home run
- David Ortiz has hit 5 career homers
- Kevin Youkillis is 11 for 32 (.344)
- Dustin Pedroia is just 3 for 19 (.158)

Is it safe to assume that one of the gents in the bullpen will be shipped out when Mikey Lowell returns tomorrow night? I can't imagine they'll send down Lowrie because of his versatility and I assume Moss is safe until Casey comes back. Is Bryan Corey heading back aboard the Lou Merloni Memorial Boston-Pawtucket shuttle? Or could Javy Lopez be done? Or may they DL Timlin?
With the numbers Jacoby has why is he not playing Tito
