Jays win

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff April 4, 2008 09:47 PM

TORONTO - It's over here in Toronto.

The Jays have beaten the Sox 6-3 with Jeremy Accardo recording his second save before 50,171 at Rogers Centre tonight.

Accardo retired Kevin Youkilis (liner to right), David Ortiz (a ground ball to the third baseman in the Ortiz shift) and after allowing an infield single to Manny Ramirez, a couple of partially clothed streakers took to the field. They were subdued and taken off in handcuffs.

Accardo was able to collect himself and retired Mike Lowell on a first-pitch pop out to short center field.

  1. Funny how nobody is talking about Jacoby's 2 run error (and the 2 fly balls he should have caught if he got a better jump). And yeah, I think Coco would have caught those. But Jacoby is so great we need to hurry up and trade Coco right everybody?
