Lester tagged

Jon Lester has allowed four runs in the fourth and trails the Tigers 4-2.

Former Sox shortstop Edgar Renteria doubled in two runs after Lester walked Miguel Cabrera and Carlos Guillen.

Marcus Thames followed Renteria's double with a two-run homer into the Monster seats.

  1. The NESN AFLAC trivia question answer was not completely correct. The question was to name the two Hall of Fame players who played for the Tigers and Red Sox. But there were actually three players - George Kell, Al Simmons (two NESN answers) and also Heinie Manush (played for Detroit 1923-27 and Boston 1936).
