No. 492

And Manny Ramirez inches closer to 500.

Ramirez just blasted Mike Mussina's 46th pitch of the afternoon so high that it hit the Volvo banner in left field. It was his 53d career homer against the Yankees, tying Hank Greenberg for the third most all time. He passed Carl Yastrzemski with that homer, and now just trails Ted Williams (62) and Jimmie Foxx (70). It's also his seventh against Mussina, his third most against any opponent.

It's now 1-0, Red Sox.
