Okie KO'd

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff April 22, 2008 09:58 PM

The eighth inning wasn't as kind to Hideki Okajima.

Lefthanded-hitting Casey Kotchman hit a solo homer just a few rows into the right field grandstand out of J.D. Drew's reach, tying the score at 6-6. After a two-out double off the wall by Erick Aybar, Terry Francona made the change to Mike Timlin. He induced a grounder to shortstop Julio Lugo, who planted his feet nicely and made a strong throw to first for the final out.

  1. When was the last time someone had 2 homers in a game and then scored after their bunt single? How about just 2 homers and a bunt in one game?
