Overbay with first Jays hit in fifth

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff April 29, 2008 08:22 PM

Lyle Overbay stroked Toronto's first hit, a line drive over second baseman Dustin Pedroia's head, to lead off the fifth off Jon Lester. He was erased on Shannon Stewart's 6-4-3 double play in this 0-0 game. Both teams now have one hit as we enter the bottom of the fifth.

J.D. Drew left the game with a tight left quad. He hurt the leg running to first base in the second inning.
