Pedroia saves the day

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff April 29, 2008 09:28 PM

Dustin Pedroia made a tremendous play on a sizzling grounder by Vernon Wells that he dove to field and threw to first for the final out of the ninth inning. Jonathan Papelbon had allowed a two-out double to Scott Rolen, bringing Wells up. The ball was hit so hard, it should have made it through the infield.

We're in the bottom of the ninth. This could be Roy Halladay's fourth straight complete game. It's 0-0. Keep in mind, Halladay has lost his last two CGs.

  1. The Red Sox should go after Halladay, at least they would give him some run support, Toronto is not going to help him, they stink.
