Pudge reaches milestone

Pudge Rodriguez stroked his 2,500th hit in the 8th inning.

The Tigers added a pair of runs in the 8th on Brandon Inge and Rodriguez singles. It's 6-2 Tigers. The attendance was announced at 37,190, the 390th consecutive sellout.

Bryan Corey allowed two runs, two hits. Could he be the player who is designated for assignment to make room for Mike Timlin?
