Raining...
It's still raining, though not all that hard.
This is a big start for Clay Buchholz, his first as a part of this rivalry. He seemed very excited yesterday, saying that it was his plan to go through the clubhouse and talk to some of the other pitchers to get some advice about facing the Yankees. He was also going to look at some Josh Beckett tape.
And he's delivering, with just one single allowed in four innings of work. He hasn't been quite as efficient as Chien-Ming Wang, who begins the fourth inning having thrown just 30 pitches, but he's pitched very well against an extremely patient lineup. That lineup does, however, get a bit slimmer without Derek Jeter.
Somehow Alberto Gonzalez doesn't quite sound the same.
