Rays win, 5-4
With Jonathan Papelbon on the bullpen mound in left field, the Rays took advantage of Mike Timlin (on the actual mound), with Carl Crawford sending a single to left. B.J. Upton walked, then Nathan Haynes (in for Carlos Pena, in for Jonny Gomes) rifled a single to right to finish off the game.

Not that the writing in this blog isn't excellent, but it may be better to simply have one game story post rather than a smattering of updates during the game. Most people reading this blog are following the game on TV or online through ESPN or MLB.com. There is so much lag between the game updates and the action on the field as to make them pointless and irrelevant. For normal readers of this blog, it is annoying to sift through them.
Should have brought Paps in
On the RSN message board last night someone said that maybe the bullpen should stop practicing their drumming skills and work on pitching for a while, they just might be on to something there. The bullpen has been a bit of a dissapointment so far this year.
