Rout is on

TORONTO - Looks like the bat weighs about 10 pounds in David Eckstein's hands.

Yet the former Sox farmhand handles it pretty well. He poked a single to right in the sixth which has scored two more runs for the Jays. Kyle Snyder came on to relieve Clay Buchholz. Let's just say Kyle didn't have it. He walked Aaron Hill and Marco Scutaro. After Gregg Zaun dropped down a nice sac bunt to third, Bryan Corey came on and got poked to death by Eckstein.

But Corey was no victim.

Alex Rios doubled hard down the left field line (take your time Manny), scoring Eckstein all the way from first.

Vernon Wells singled to center, scoring Rios.

Frank Thomas stroked a two-run homer over the center-field fence on a 3-2 offering.

Oh good, Corey is out and here comes Julian Tavarez.

Looks like there'll be plenty of candidates for Josh Beckett's roster spot.

It's 10-2 Jays.
