Sox crawling back

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff April 6, 2008 03:44 PM

TORONTO - The Red Sox have come back a bit here against Doc Halladay.

J.D. Drew's seventh-inning solo shot made it a 7-3 game and in the eighth. David Ortiz singled to center to drive in Kevin Youkilis, who had tripled after Vernon Wells and John McDonald collided while going after the soft fly in medium center. Both players were shaken up but remained in the game.

Halladay just induced a double-play grounder by Manny Ramirez to get out of the eighth.

The Sox have endured three errors by shortstop Julio Lugo

  1. time for Lugo to get going or get out. One rule change they should make, and this would make the relievers get the JOB DONE. YOU INHERIT ALL RUNNERS ON BASE. DELCARMAN LETS GET THE JOB DONE, HASN'T IMPRESSED ME IN 3 YEARS
