Sox leave them full

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff April 2, 2008 05:19 PM

OAKLAND - For the second time in six innings, the Sox left the bases loaded without scoring.

In the sixth, the Sox loaded the bases with two outs. A Varitek walk, a Crisp single and Cora hit by an Alan Embree pitch, loaded the bases for Dustin Pedroia. Seemed like a good matchup for Pedroia, but he grounded hard to shortstop Bobby Crosby who forced the runner at second for the final out.

It's scoreless heading into the bottom of the sixth.
