Sox win pitchers' duel

Kevin Youkilis's line drive single to center field in the ninth inning scored David Ortiz from second base and gave the Red Sox a 1-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays last night at Fenway Park.


The hit came off Roy Halladay, who had engaged in a brilliant duel with the Red Sox' Jon Lester for much of the game.


Jonathan Papelbon worked the ninth for the Sox and got the victory.
