A snapshot look at the two-game series between the Red Sox (9-6) and Yankees (8-7) in the Bronx that kicks off tonight.

Tonight (7:05, NESN, WEEI 850): RHP Clay Buchholz (0-1, 3.27 ERA) vs. RHP Chien-Ming Wang (3-0, 1.23 ERA).

Tomorrow (7:05 p.m., NESN, WRKO 680): RHP Josh Beckett (1-1, 6.35 ERA) vs. RHP Mike Mussina (1-2, 4.15 ERA).

Head to head: This is the second of six series. The Red Sox won two of three over the weekend at Fenway Park.

Miscellany: Shortstop Derek Jeter returned from his left quadriceps injury for Monday night's 8-7 victory over the Rays and went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs . . . Catcher Jorge Posada is trying to regain strength in his throwing shoulder and has been DHing. With Jose Molina also injured, Chad Moeller was called up Monday and started . . . Infielder Wilson Betemit is out with conjunctivitis . . . Reliever Joba Chamberlain is away to tend to his hospitalized father; he will miss the series.
