Swing and a miss

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff April 14, 2008 09:50 PM

Though David Ortiz got the count from 0-2 to 3-2 with men on first and second in the seventh inning, he couldn't come through. He swung through a pitch from Rafael Betancourt, leaving it up to Kevin Youkilis to bring the runners home.

By the way, it's cold enough that the runners on base (Coco Crisp and Dustin Pedroia) headed to the dugout during the pitching change, presumably to warm up.
