The ringsHere's your first look at the rings the Red Sox will receive today during today's Opening Day ceremonies at Fenway, which begin at 1 p.m. (Photo by George Rizer, Globe Staff).

Speaking of secrets, the Sox aren't revealing who will throw out the first pitch. Any ideas? Our Boston Sports Blog rounds up a few theories. Click the "Comments" link above to post your best guess.

  1. My guess (or hope) is that it will be Johnny Pesky. I hope that after the ring ceremony the Red Sox finally retire his number and then let him throw out the first pitch.

  1. why would they retire Peky's number? He sucked....and plus, he played what, 7 season in Boston? Big deal.....just because he is old and has stories about Ted Williams doesn't make him great
