Too close for comfort

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff April 17, 2008 09:32 PM

That pitch came awful close to hitting Manny Ramirez's head.

The umpire ran in the middle, in between Kyle Farnsworth and Ramirez, after the pitch sailed just by Ramirez's head. Farnsworth got a stare-down for the pitch.

We'll see if there's a close one to, say, Johnny Damon in the next inning?

  1. So, it's okay to head-hunt Manny when he is killing the Yankees? Farnsworth should have been thrown the hell out of the game.

  1. Why didn't Ramirez get a walk after being hit by Farnsworth?
