Yes, they get rings ...

There's a guy out there by the name of Chip who wanted to know if Kason Gabbard gets a ring.

Actually both he and David Murphy were presented with the jewelry in the clubhouse before the game. Murphy said they didn't get a chance to compare quality. Murphy was taking BP and Gabbard was in the weight room. But it was still a pretty cool feeling overall.

"It’s very generous of them to give me a ring," Murphy said. "It’s something that I definitely didn’t expect. It’ll be a great memory. There are plenty of players that never got a chance to get a World Series ring."

Since he was only with the Sox for four days. He did acknowledge the difference between having a ring and winning it, which is how he'd prefer to get his next one.

"I have this ring and I’m showing it to all my teammates and it’s neat because for them they’re respectful of the game and what happened, but for them and for me also I want to win one," he said. "I earned that I guess because I spent time with this team for four days last year, but I want to earn one in terms of I want to be on the field when the last out is made for a World Series."

If you're still paying attention ... I'll try to bring more later.

  1. They certainly deserve a ring more than Gagne and he got one.

  1. Does Wally the Green Monster get a World Series Ring? We were talking about it at the school where I work the other day (St. Patrick's in Lowell) and no one knew, so I thought that you might know. Thanks!!
