Ramirez grounds out and Lowell strikes out swinging.
Youkilis works a full count, and walks on Shields's 98th pitch.
In Shields' two-hit shutout Sunday, a 3-0 win over Boston, he threw 98 pitches total in nine innings.

J.P. Howell has been called in from the pen.
