A few things....

Manny Ramirez is out of the lineup with sore right hamstring. Manager Terry Francona said Ramirez phoned him this morning to tell him the hamstring was hurting after he ran hard to beat out a double-play ball in the ninth last night.

Ramirez, who has one hit in his last 15 at-bats, was having treatment this afternoon. No word on how long he might be out.

Julio Lugo sat out a second day. Francona said the CT scan looked clean and that Lugo's eyes looked a lot clearer today. Alex Cora will start at shortstop.

Francona said Sean Casey is with the team but won't be activated until tomorrow. Craig Hansen remains on the roster for at least another game.

  1. how long before the manny bashers like that fatpig mike adams accuse manny of faking this injury? The one time manny runs his ass off and keeps the inning going he gets hurt but i bet an weeks pay adams will criticize him monday for this.He will also criticize manny for not sucking it up and not being available these last 2 games of the twins series. Its best to rest manny keep him off this turf and hope he can return tuesday in baltimore. If this were anyone else it wouldnt even be talked about but because its manny the media will make an big deal out of it
