MINNEAPOLIS - The Twins have to be upset by news of Pat Neshek going on the 15-day disabled list with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. A terrific set-up man in the past, Neshek was 0-1 with ba 4.73 ERA this season in 15 appearances. Glen Perkins will be activated tomorrow.

Jon Lester lasted 5-1/3 innings and has been replaced by David Aardsma in the sixth. Lester threw 94 pitches and allowed five runs (three earned).

The Sox have just cut down the potential tying run in the sixth. A double by Adam Everett to center field was fielded by Jacoby Ellsbury, who relayed to Dustin Pedroia, who gunned down Delmon Young trying to score. It was also the third out. They hold on to a 6-5 lead.

By the way, the Sox' streak of 21 consecutive steals ended when J.D. Drew was tossed out in the fifth. Ellsbury has stolen his 14th straight base.
