Back-to-back!
Well, things have changed in a hurry at the Metrodome.
Back-to-back homers by Coco Crisp and Jed Lowrie, the No. 8 and 9 hitters in the Boston lineup, off Glen Perkins have given the Sox a 3-2 lead here in the seventh inning.
Perkins probably hung around a lot longer than he should have, but the lefty just recalled from Triple A Rochester and making his first career start, had been very effective until Crisp's 392-foot blast to left field on a 3-1 pitch.
Lowrie, also a switch hitter, batting righthanded, followed with a lined shot over the left-field fence on a 1-2 pitch, making it 3-2. That was the night for Perkins, who also had given up a solo shot to Kevin Youkilis back in the second.
Lowrie is supposed to go back to Pawtucket when Alex Cora is activated today.
