Buchholz off to good start

Red Sox starting pitcher Clay Buchholz faced four batters in the top of the first inning. With one out, left fielder Carl Crawford reached on a single but Buchholz struck out designated hitter Jonny Gomes and first baseman Carlos Pena was the third out when he flied to center field.
