Colon done after five

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 21, 2008 09:05 PM

Probably because of a long bottom of the fifth in which his offense accounted for four runs to give the Sox a 5-2 lead over the Royals, Bartolo Colon's night is over.

The hefty righty's line: 5 innings, six hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts.

You'd have to call it a successful return to the major leagues.
