SEATTLE - Daisuke Matsuzaka has left the game at the start of the fifth inning. Matsuzaka threw some warmups and stopped. The entire training staff, Terry Francona, and John Farrell all came out. Matsuzaka was holding his side, or back.
Sox publicist Henry Mehegan has gone down to the clubhouse to get word. He leaves trailing, 3-0. He was replaced by Dave Aardsma.
