Fast pace

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 26, 2008 10:41 PM

What a fast paced game. It seems like everyone is up there hacking away.

We're already in the third. Felix Hernandez has retired the first nine Red Sox while Bartolo Colon retired the first six Mariners before allowing a pair of hits in the third. The Mariners were unable to score.

Amazingly, Ichiro didn't get the run in with a short fly to center. Colon then retired Jose Lopez on an excellent diving grab of a grounder by Dustin Pedroia.
