Mike Lowell hit Boston's fourth homer of the night in the eighth. It's 4-2 Sox. Lowell's homer came against righty Brian Bass. It was Lowell's third homer of the season.

Hideki Okajima is coming on in the bottom of the eighth. Daisuke Matsuzaka's line: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 3 BB and 7 Ks. He threw 96 pitches. Barring a bullpen meltdown, Matsuzaka could run his record to 6-0.
