Game is under way

The Red Sox and Royals were scoreless after two innings. Sox starter Jon Lester retired the side in the first as did Kansas City's Luke Hochevar. Lester walked first baseman Billy Butler in the second but escaped with no damage. The Sox had a base runner in the bottom of the inning - third baseman Mike Lowell, who walked - but Kevin Youkilis hit into a double play to end the threat.
