Lester has no-hitter through eight

Posted by Nancy Marrapese-Burrell, Globe Staff May 19, 2008 09:17 PM

Jon Lester kept his magical evening going, retiring the side in order in the eighth, striking out Billy Butler and Miguel Olivo, giving him a season-high eight in the game. Mark Teahan flied to center to end the inning.

Lester is three outs away from his first no-hitter.

  1. At least we now know the Bruins writers are as bad (or worse than) the team. Nancy, you're making Tomase look good.
