Manny now giveth

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 25, 2008 05:34 PM

OAKLAND, Calif. - After his three-base error in the third that led to an A's run, Manny Ramirez stroked a bases-loaded single to center off Joe Blanton in the fifth. It's a 4-3 game (A's on top) with the Sox still batting.

Ramirez has three hits.

He's a career 13 for 21 against Blanton. He's second all-time in grand slams with 20, so you're always thinking that in that situation. But Manny was content to get a base hit and keep the inning going.
