Manny's error

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 25, 2008 04:54 PM

OAKLAND, Calif. - Manny Ramirez's three-base error in the third inning has led to a run.

Ramirez drifted back for Jack Hannahan's long fly toward the left field wall. While he leaped, he seemed to have the ball, but it fell out of his glove, allowing Hannahan to race around to third. With one out, Mike Sweeney singled him in.

The A's are still batting in the third against Jon Lester, leading, 2-1.
