More bad stats

So Daisuke Matsuzaka, who has now qualified for the win in this game, has eight walks for his trouble this evening. That's tied for the most in the majors this season, with Fausto Carmona of the Indians. Carmona walked eight against Oakland in 3 2/3 innings on April 12.

That pitch, the one that induced a liner to right from Matt Joyce, was likely Matsuzaka's last of the evening. It was his 109th.
