Papelbon wiggles out of Okie's jam

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 20, 2008 09:37 PM

Jonathan Papelbon wiggled out of a bases-loaded jam by striking out Billy Butler in the eighth to preserve a 2-1 lead. Hideki Okajima, who recently has been rested with a sore left wrist, allowed a ground-rule double to David DeJesus and a pair of walks.

We're in the bottom of the eighth.

  1. I would not call it "wiggle"; he hammered his way out of the jam.
