Pitching change for Rays

Rays starter Edwin Jackson has just been relieved by left hander Kurt Birkins. Jackson gave up a double to Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell to start the bottom of the fifth. After walking Kevin Youkilis, Jackson was all done. The first batter Birkins faced was Brandon Moss, who struck out.
