Rays heat up

Posted by Barbara Matson, Globe Staff May 3, 2008 08:20 PM

Rays collecting hits in the bottom of the fourth: a Hinske double off the Wall, a Pena single to right field, moving Hinske to third, and a Longoria single to left to score him. It's 5-3, Sox.
Drew made a desperate dive to catch Pena's hit, but the ball bounced off the bottom of his glove and back out as he stretched out on the grass.
Gross walked and the bases are loaded. ...

Haynes popped a long fly ball to left field, which Ramirez caught and fired in to home plate, where Varitek tagged out Pena for the double play.
