Roberts Rules

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff May 31, 2008 08:44 PM

BALTIMORE - Brian Roberts, hitting lefthanded pitchers at a .302 entering tonight's game, homered to left field in the fifth on a 2-2 pitch for a 3-2 Orioles lead.

Roberts is now 4 for 12 against Lester.

The Sox lefty also allowed a double to Nick Markakis, a walk to Kevin Millar, and a walk to Aubrey Huff to load the bases. But he fanned Ramon Hernandez to get out of the fifth.

Here's more Ellsbury: he's got 18 steals in May, the most by a Sox player in any month since Tommy Harper had 18 in September 1973.
